The Building of Mt. View Christian Reformed Church
- Dates are as noted on original photos. -
Mountain View Christian Reformed Church Bulletin - July 16, 1972 Today marks the first anniversary of Mountain View. One year ago today the church held its first worship service. During its first year the church has grown by 15 families, has added 8 new members through baptism, 2 through profession of faith. The first stage building plans have also been completed, and bids have been let for the construction of both the parsonage and the parish hall. Nineteen acres of property were also acquired. Looking back we have every reason to rejoice and be glad in the goodness of God. As found on our Dedication Announcement: We are a Reformed Church tracing our tradition and history back to the Protestant Reformation. We hold to and emphasize the following truths:

Mt. View Church Dedication
Dedication Announcement: Dear Friends... For the past year and a half we have been busy planning and building a new church in your community. The first phase of our building program is nearly complete. We invite you to a special Community Evening Dedication Service on April 12th at 8 p.m., followed by an open house and coffee. ( A nursery is provided.) The Laurel Baptist church will also be participating. Dedication Announcement: Our Program... We are a family church. The services and activities are organized to provide religious instruction, inspiration and fellowship for children, young people, and adults. Besides the two Sunday Worship services, and Church Bible School, we have a Youth Group that meets weekly, a Young Couples Group, a Women's Bible Study Group, an Adult and Family Fun Evening once a month, and we hope to begin a Boy's and a Girl's Group this coming September. |
Dedication Announcement: Our Purpose... We are here to carry the Bible's message of God's love and forgiveness to our community. Our aim is to help people find new meaning for their lives through the historic Christian faith on which our Church and, we hope soon, your church is founded. |
