Bryan & Sydney Lanting
My personal vision in ministry is to serve a church while growing a Christ-centered community that thrives on grace. I believe we are not here for our own happiness, but to serve the King of Kings, and all joy is derived from our relationship with Him. I am committed to serve the Church and her families – young and old - for the rest of my personal ministry, hoping to invest in each different generation. It is my desire to serve long-term in a church where my wife and I can make a home and a family, investing together for God’s glory and growing in my personal holiness, while encouraging others in the same.
Lesser Role at Gospel of Grace/Itinerant Preaching
•We had agreed to come for a year to Gospel of Grace, and once that time was up found another pastor to take over. From there I began preaching at vacant Reformed churches (mainly CRC) in the area. Unfortunately, the pastor at Gospel of Grace did not work out and so I am back serving in a limited capacity while preaching itinerantly.

Interim Pastor – Gospel of Grace Community Church
•After Nobleford CRC filled their pulpit, I was called to Gospel of Grace Community Church for a full time role, but did not feel it was the right fit for the long term. As such, I agreed to an interim role with the Church of roughly 40 people, which involved all the duties of a solo pastor, with an emphasis on evangelism, handling the church website and social media, all administration, set-up duties, etc. In Feb 2018, we successfully found a full-time minister.
July 2016-March 2017
Interim Pastor – Nobleford Christian Reformed
•I served as a solo, interim pastor, which included preaching on a weekly basis for both morning and evening services, planning worship, visits, teaching catechism, and anything else
associated with pastoral ministry. Our congregation consisted of roughly 200 people.
Jan 2016-July 2016
June 2013-July 2015
Assistant Pastor - Gospel of Grace Community Church
• Previously served as Pastoral Intern and an Assistant Pastor in a small Church Plant. I preached occasionally, conducted pastoral visits, executed several events, led and planned worship on occasion, worked with the youth, and handled much of the admin work, including designing the website.
October 2010 - July 2012
Youth Director - Woodgreen PCA
• I worked as the Youth Director of Woodgreen Presbyterian Church, which included running the youth ministry, planning for weekly meetings with both Senior and Junior Youth, getting together with youth outside of regular hours, several hours of weekly administration work, etc. Before moving into a paid position, I volunteered for over two years.
September 2013-July 2015
Concrete Finisher - A-1 Cement
• Worked as a concrete finisher, working with a crew and on my own. As my work load and responsibilities increased, I learned better how to manage my time at work and home, especially in balancing being newly married with school and full-time work.
June 2012-May 2016
Reformed Theological Seminary
Sept 2007-June 2012
• Bachelor of Arts in English
I believe that the Lord has gifted me in various ways. I love preaching and teaching, and believe I am a skilled teacher. I am also gifted with children, youth, and families. I love people, and long to see them immersed in the grace of our great God, whether believer or non-believer. Likewise, I am very administrative-minded and excel at organizational work. I am also self-motivated, accountable, and eager to grow in any ways I can, while serving the Church as the Lord sees fit.
